The actor is currently shooting for Hemanth M. Rao's Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which is nearing completion
Rakshit Shetty has been away from the arc lights for quite some time owing to Hemanth M. Rao's Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. The film's narrative spans multiple decades which has required Rakshit to undergo a massive physical transformation by gaining close to 20 kilos in weight. Having shot for over 100 days for the film, we now hear that Rakshit is slowly tending to his own directorial Richard Anthony, which he plans on taking on floors at the earliest.
According to a few recent reports, Rakshit Shetty has already finished scripting Richard Anthony and is apparently super kicked about bringing the film to life. Richard Anthony is a spin-off of Shetty's own 2013 film Ulidavaru Kandanthe with the upcoming version focusing on the character that he essayed - from the quirky one-liners to the mannerisms, Richard Anthony a.k.a Richie of Ulidavaru Kandanthe became a cult character, of sorts, and the film too was later remade in Tamil as Richie with Nivin Pauly playing the titular character.
Richard Anthony is being produced by KGF 2 & Kantara makers Hombale Films and this is Rakshit Shetty's first collaboration with the production house. The team released a teaser more than a year ago which had become very popular among the audience.
As far as Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is concerned, the film's writer-director Hemanth M. Rao tells OTTplay that his team is nearing the completion of the shoot and that they need another 20-25 days to wrap things up. Having shot for as many as 100 days so far, Hemanth & Co. have completed close to 80% of the shoot and once they wrap up the climax portion, they will have another 10-15 days of work pending before they conclude the production phase.
"We will resume the shoot in the first week of January following which we have two small but important schedules in Mangaluru and Shivamogga. The team then heads back to Bangalore for the final leg of the shoot," shares Hemanth Rao. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello also stars Rukmini Vasanth and Chaithra J Achar with Charan Raj scoring the music and Advaitha Gurumurthy handling the cinematography.
