It is the time for comedians to play main leads in Telugu cinema. Last week, Abhinav Gomatam, the popular comedian in Telugu cinema, turned hero with the OTT film My Dear Donga. Now, the time has come for yet another popular comedian, Getup Srinu, to play the main lead in a film titled Raju Yadav.

The trailer of the film was released today by HanuMan star Teja Sajja, and it hits the right note and surprises everyone. Based on a real-life story, Raju Yadav is directed by Krishnamachary, and his presentation is impressive. The way a small issue is blown out of proportion and how a young man handles his internal demons and those in society are showcased beautifully.
The promo starts with a young man, played by Getup Srinu, hit by a cricket ball on his face, and it turns into a weird shape. This new shape of his face gives new problems to Getup Srinu. Even though others around him are in tense situations, the smiling face of Getup Srinu causes huge problems.
Even his wife leaves him for good and is left with no choice, Getup Srinu demands money from his poor parents for his facial surgery. All this is showcased in a very innovative manner. Getup Srinu, who is known for his versatile acting, looks superb in the film and fits the role perfectly.
The small-town setup and family drama look neat. Ankita Kharat plays the female lead in this film, which has Ananda Chakrapani, Rocket Raghava, Mirchi Hemanth, and Jabardasth Sunny in key roles. Raju Yadav is produced by K Prashant Reddy and Rajesh Kallepalli under Sai Varunavi Creations and Charisma Dreams Entertainment banners.
The makers have decided to release the film on May 17, 2024. By then, the IPL fever will also be over, and the elections in AP will be over. The makers have planned more events in the future to take the film deep into the audience. Watch this space for more updates.
