Will Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 3 release in 2025? You might just have to say 'Vicky please'

Upon its release, Stree 2 featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, became the top-grossing Hindi film of 2024.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 made waves at the box office when it was released in theatres. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film was released on August 15 and since its success, fans are eager to know all the details about its third installment. However, Rajkummar has now spilled the beans about Stree 3 and revealed that it won't be happening anytime soon. The actor also revealed if his character in the film, Vicky, could get married to Shraddha Kapoor's ghost. Here's what he said!

Rajkummar Rao shares an update on Stree 3

In a recent interview with News18, Rajkummar revealed that Stree 3 is in the works but it will not be arriving anytime soon. “Stree 3 will certainly happen but not anytime soon,” he said. He also explained that the team of the film wants to make it right and not just rush into a sequel for the sake of the film's success.

Rajkummar Rao said, "Sometimes, a film does well and you would want to encash on it by making a second or a third part and you end up making it in a hurry. There’s a reason why we took six years to come up with Stree 2 after the first film."

The actor also mentioned that Stree 3 will not take six years to release but they do not want to rush it and want to come up with a great story. "We don’t want to make a film that leads people to say that the franchise value, quality or standard is going down. We want to keep pushing our boundaries and take part three a notch above," he added.

Further talking about his character Vicky in the film, Rajkummar Rao said that he holds this character close to his heart and relates to his goofy and simple nature. "I’m that guy as well. But I don’t think I’ll ever fall in love with a ghost (laughs)," he added.
