Munna Bhai MBBS is one of the most iconic films Bollywood has given us. With the perfect balance of humour and emotions, the film has won audiences' hearts. After the two films in the franchise, fans are eagerly waiting for an update for the third film and it seems that the wait is now over as Rajkumar Hirani finally spoke about making the third part.
Rajkumar Hirani to make Munna Bhai 3 soon?
Rajkumar Hirani is known for his out-of-the-box films in the Hindi film industry. Recently, at an event, the filmmaker discussed his first hit, Munna Bhai MBBS, and said that he might soon be working on the third film in the franchise. Hirani also revealed that he has not just one or two but five scripts in the works. He said he has five half-finished scripts for Munna Bhai. "I spent six months on a script, reach the interval, and it just wouldn’t go beyond that. There is a Munna Bhai LLB, Munna Bhai Chal Base, Munna Bhai Chale Amreeka, and more,” said the director.
He further mentioned the biggest challenge of writing Munna Bhai film by saying, “The most important factor is that the next instalment has to get better than the previous films. But now, I have a unique idea. Of course, over the course of 100 years of cinema, everything has been said. But yeah, I am working on that idea.”

Rajkumar also revealed how keen Sanjay Dutt is to work on the Munna Bhai franchise and said that the actor might just go to his home and threaten him to get done with the next script. "He really wants to do another Munna Bhai film,” he added while mentioning that he is “seriously” thinking about making the next Munna Bhai film.
About Munna Bhai franchise
For the uninitiated, Munna Bhai MBBS was released in 2003 and became a huge hit. In 2008, the second film in the franchise Lage Raho Munna Bhai was released and weaved magic at the box office. Both films were appreciated for their hard-hitting storyline and outstanding performances by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.
