The much-awaited audio launch of the upcoming Tamil film Lal Salaam is set to take place on Friday, January 26, at Sri Sairam Institute in Chennai, the makers of the film announced on social media recently. The film is set to hit the big screens on February 9. Lal Salaam is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and will have actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play the lead roles. Veteran actor and Aishwarya’s father, Rajinikanth, will play a brief role as Moideen Bhai in the film.
“Get ready for another classic album from our 'Isaipuyal' AR Rahman & of course our Thalaivar's Kutty Kadhai!” wrote Lyca Productions on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, confirming the presence of Rajinikanth and composer of the film, AR Rahman, at the function.
Lal Salaam is expected to be a sports political drama that will be set against the backdrop of cricket. It will mark the first time Aishwarya is working with her father and actor Rajinikanth. Apart from the veteran actor, ace cricketer and former Indian team captain, Kapil Dev will also be seen in a crucial role. Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, Dhanya Balakrishna, and others round off the cast.

Lal Salaam has music by AR Rahman. The technical crew consists of Vishnu Rangasamy as the cinematographer and Pravin Baaskar handling the edits. Ramu Thangraj is the production designer of Lal Salaam. The film was earlier set for a theatrical release in January. However, the makers decided to push the release to February 9. It is backed by Subaskaran Allirajah, under the banner Lyca Productions.
Rajinikanth, who recently visited the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya, was last seen in Jailer. Besides Lal Salaam, the actor is also collaborating with Lyca Productions for Vettaiyan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film has a stellar star cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, among others. After this, the actor will team up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for a film tentatively titled Thalaivar 171.
