Rajinikanth's Jailer: Anirudh Ravichander has a message to Thalaivar fans, 'Kandippa alapparai kelappurom'

The film, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, marks Anirudh's third collaboration with the Superstar

The countdown for Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer has begun. The film, helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is all set to drop in theatres in a matter of few hours and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the celebrations and hype have reached a feverish peak.

Meanwhile the film's composer Anirudh Ravichander has a request for all Thalaivar fans. And that is ''Kandippa alapparai kelappurom (sic)." In a video message that's doing the rounds on social media, the composer has also thanked fans for the response to the songs from Jailer.

Jailer marks Anirudh's third collaboration with the Superstar. He had earlier worked together in Petta and Darbar and the albums went on to become massive hits. It is also to be noted that Anirudh was one of the first to review Jailer and had called it a sureshot firecracker in his tweet. Since Anirudh doesn't really post such tweets very often, it indeed set social media on fire.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth plays jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the film and the actor plays a character, who doesn't believe in talking after a point, but only slashing. The Superstar's fiery avatar and mass punch dialogues and scenes have become the talking points of the film.

Even as celebrations are at an all-time high, Rajinikanth is headed to the Himalayas. Talking to the media at the airport, today, the Jailer star said that it's been four years since he visited the Himalayas. On Jailer, the actor asked people to watch the film.

Jailer has a star-studded cast which includes Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Tamanaah, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and VTV Ganesh to name a few. While the cinematography is by Vijay Karthik Kannan, editing is by R Nirmal.

The FDFS is all set to begin at 9am in Tamil Nadu even as earlier shows are slated in the neighbouring states of Karnataka and Kerala. Many fans are said to be travelling to the nearest towns in the states to catch hold of the film.
