Rajinikanth health update: Vettaiyan actor is on the road-to-recovery, confirms hospital

Rajinikanth, who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai recently, reportedly underwent a non-surgical procedure. The Vettaiyan actor is now recovering well.

Rajinikanth was rushed to hospital recently after the legendary superstar experienced severe stomach pain. Even though it was confirmed that the Vettaiyan actor’s condition is stable, the lack of updates on his health left the fans and cine-goers extremely worried. However, the hospital has now put an end to all speculations, by releasing a health bulletin on Rajinikanth’s health condition.  The statement confirmed that the veteran actor is recovering well.

Recently, the medical team of Appolo Hospital, Chennai, where Rajinikanth has been admitted, recently released a health bulletin revealing the superstar’s health condition. “Mr. Rajinikanth was admitted to Appolo Hospitals, Greams Road on 30th September, 2024. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (Aorta), which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method,” reads the official statement of the Hospital.

The medical bulletin further reveals that Dr. Sai Satish, the senior interventional cardiologist treated Rajinikanth with an ‘Endovascular Repair’, which has completely sealed off the swelling on his aorta. According to the statement, the Coolie actor is now on the road-to-recovery and is expected to get discharged in two days. The new updates on the superstar’s health condition came out as a big relief for his fans and well-wishers.

Rajinikanth to take a break from work?

If the reports are to be believed, Rajinikanth has been advised by the medical team to take complete bed rest for the next few weeks. In that case, the legendary superstar might take a break from the filming of his next outing Coolie to focus on his health. As per the reports, the upcoming new schedule of the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will start rolling only after the leading man recovers completely.

Coming to Coolie, the much-awaited project, which is touted to be high-voltage action flick, features a stellar star cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and others in the pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and original score for the film. Girish Gangadharan handles the cinematography, and Philomin Rajh handles the editing respectively.
