Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie to release in June 2025?

Only recently, the makers of Coolie, the upcoming Tamil film headlined by actor Rajinikanth, announced the star-studded cast of the film. Written and directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, as per latest reports, it is expected that Coolie will hit theatres in mid-2025.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie to release in June 2025?

Actor Rajinikanth, who is waiting for the release of Vettaiyan, has already begun his next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is titled Coolie and the shooting is going in full swing. Only recently, the makers had revealed the cast members of the film one by one.

In the latest, there are reports that state Coolie is aiming for a theatrical release in June next year. However, an official announcement on the same has not been made by the makers. Coolie is produced by Sun Pictures production banner and has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Coolie stars Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan, among others. The film is touted to be a gangster action drama. Coolie is Rajinikanth’s 171th outing as lead actor, and will mark his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The technical crew consists Girish Gangadharan cranking the camera and National Award-winning stunt coordinators Anbariv associated with the project.

Rajinikanth’s next Vettaiyan

Vettaiyan is Rajinikanth’s next release. The film is scheduled to hit big screens on October 10. The film is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, GM Sundar, Abirami, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan and others.

Backed by Lyca Productions banner, Vettaiyan is touted to be a cop action drama. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film. Recently, the first single Manasilaayo from Vettaiyan, was released by the makers, with fans showering so much love for the song. Fans await the release of Vettaiyan to watch their favourite star Rajinikanth once again onscreen.
