Rajamouli on not casting Prabhas as a cameo in RRR; the director calls the actor a big ship

The actor-director duo Prabhas and SS Rajamouli has given the most hit film franchise to this country and created a starting point for pan-India films with Bahubali film series. The filmmaker was recently seen promoting the South superstar's upcoming film Radhe Shyam in the midst of working on his another highly-anticipated directorial, RRR.

In a recent chat with each other, the dynamic duo recalled their time during filming and promoting their mammoth project that set a benchmark in Indian cinema. Rajamouli mentioned how shy the actor used to be during the promotions of Babhubali films, to which Prabhas replied, "With Baahubali and Saaho, I had to step out and promote the films. Now, for Radhe Shyam, I had become the film’s face."

Before ending their interview, referring to RRR, the Saaho actor asked the director why he was not cast even as a cameo character in such a huge project. Rajamouli replied that the actor is like a big ship, they can't have it in the film if there is no need.

Meanwhile, Prabhas also explained his character in Radhe Shyam to his dear friend and mentioned, "Vikramaditya is the Einstein of palmistry."

Radhe Shyam is the Radha Krishna Kumar directorial that also stars Pooja Hegde in a lead role and has Rajamouli as the narrator of the film with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Shiva Rajkumar and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the voices of the film.

Radhe Shyam, which also features Bhagyashree, Sathyaraj, Jagapathi Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi, Murali Sharma and Kunaal Roy Kapur, can be watched in theatres from March 11.
