Raj & DK's 'Guns & Gulaabs' stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Gulshan Devaiah, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanchay Goswami, Sathish Kaushik and others.
Raj & DK's Netflix debut 'Guns & Gulaabs' boasts an array of quirky and memorable characters that are brought to life by the duo's trademarks. Following the incredible success of 'The Family Man' and 'Farzi' on Amazon Prime Video, Raj & DK are well regarded as the pioneers of the "mainstream OTT", with top-billed talent from all across the country willing to work with them - Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Shahid Kapoor, Dulquer Salmaan and Rajkumar Rao, to name a few.
What that also means is that the writer-director duo has a wide reach across India in terms of viewership and fittingly, their shows are dubbed in multiple other regional languages along with the Hindi original. Farzi, in particular, was praised for the quality it offered even in dubbed form and Kannada patrons, were pleased with the authenticity that the makers brought to the version (with Pruthvi Ambaar lending voice for Shahid Kapoor's character). So, one expected 'Guns & Gulaabs' to release in Kannada along with other dubbed versions.
Guns & Gulaabs now out in Kannada on Netflix
'Guns & Gulaabs' premiered on Netflix on August 18, 2023, and was initially available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and English audio. Raj & DK, however, promised prior to the release that the Kannada version would duly be released sooner rather than later, especially after they learnt about Kannadigas expressing disappointment.
Well, they have finally kept their promise and Guns & Gulaabs is now available to stream in both Kannada audio and subtitles. The public demand has been met, after all, even though it's taken the team a few additional weeks to get there. Here's the Hindi trailer of the show:
Does Gulshan Devaiah dub for himself?
The answer, luckily, is yes. As someone who speaks fluent Kannada and has been meaning to act in a Kannada film for quite some time, the very talented and versatile Gulshan Devaiah has indeed lent his own voice to his character in 'Guns & Gulaabs'. He plays the ruthless, mullet-sporting contract killer Chaar Cut Atmaram in the limited series and even though he doesn't feature in the lead role, so to speak, the portrayal of the rather unique character has won a lot of praise.

In the Kannada dubbed version, one will be charmed to know that Gulshan Devaiah has imbued his character with the 'South Canara' dialect and has pulled it off with great finesse.
