Following the tremendous success of the 2018 film Raid, Ajay Devgn is all set for the highly anticipated sequel – Raid 2.
With Raid 2, which will center on a case inspired by a true story, Ajay Devgn is all set to make a triumphant return. The actor, who portrayed IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the first film reunites with director Rajkumar Gupta for the eagerly awaited sequel, Raid 2, after the huge success of the 2018 film Raid.
Honoring the unsung heroes of the IRS, Raid 2 will once more tell the story of a real case from their records. Today marks the start of the film's extended shooting across Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. With its captivating story, the first movie enthralled moviegoers; now that the sequel Raid 2 is under production, it promises even more intensity with twice as much drama and suspense. The film is all set to release in cinemas on November 15, 2024.
The makers announced the release date of the film today with a new poster and the release date of the film. Taking to their official account, Tseries wrote: "The wait is over! Ajay Devgn is back as IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in #Raid2, ready to bring another true case to the big screen on 15th November 2024!"
About Raid
Ileana D'Cruz played Ajay's on-screen wife in Raid, while Saurabh Shukla portrayed Tauji, a corrupt politician. The movie was a hit amongst the audiences as well as the critics, who gave the movie positive reviews. It was based on one of the longest raids of the 1980s, in which Ajay played the lead character.

Under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios, Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar are the producers of Raid 2. The movie's theatrical debut is scheduled for November 15, 2024.

Apart from Raid 2, Ajaya Devgn also has Maidaan and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha with Tabu in his kitty. The actor will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others.
