Rahul Vijay and Megha Akash team up for a rom-com, film formally launched

Actors Rahul and Megha Akash are coming together for a new film to be directed by a debutant Abhimanyu Baddi. The project, a romantic comedy, was formally launched today. Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore and Arjun Kalyan will also be playing key roles in the untitled project, tentatively titled Production No. 1. Megha Akash's mother Bindu Akash, who gave the first clap, is also the presenter of the film. Sushanth Reddy, who also directed Dear Megha earlier, has penned the story.

At the film's pooja ceremony, Megha Akash expressed her happiness about reuniting with Sushanth Reddy and Abhimanyu Baddi after Dear Megha. The project is extra special because it involves my mom Bindu as well. Rahul Vijay stated that the romantic comedy has an interesting concept that'll entertain audiences. "I'm excited to work with a passionate team. We all need your wishes," he addressed the audiences and the media. Arjun Kalyan conveyed his gratitude to the director and producer for the opportunity.

"The film is romantic entertainer set in the backdrop of Goa and it'll be an engaging ride for all. We're confident about the film shaping up well," debutant Abhimanyu said. The romantic comedy will be shot in a span of 25 days in Hyderabad and Goa. While the team will shoot in Hyderabad for 15 days, the Goa schedule will go on for 10 days. "You'll witness career best performances by Rahul Vijay and Megha Akash," Sushanth Reddy exuded confidence.

Hari Gowra scores the music for the film which will be edited by Praveen Pudi. Poojitha Thadikonda is the costume designer. A Sushanth Reddy and Abhishek Kota are bankrolling the film under Kota Film Factory and Trippy Flix Studios. Megha Akash's next major release is Ravanasura, directed by Sudheer Varma, where she shares screen space with Ravi Teja.
