Releasing on JioCinema on June 16, the heist comedy drama series also stars Priya Bapat and Sushant Singh
The trailer of JioCinema’s much talked-about heist crime web series Rafuchakkar is out and it seems to be peppered with elements of both drama and comedy. Starring Priya Bapat, Aakash Dahiya, Aksha Pardasany, Sushant Singh and Maniesh Paul, the upcoming series is directed by Ritam Srivastav.
Rafuchakkar marks Maniesh’s OTT debut, who is otherwise popularly known as an anchor and comedian. Scheduled to start streaming from June 16, the new web series follows a conman, named Pawan Kumar Bawaria, who masters the art of swindling the rich and corrupt people in society. Much like the teaser, which was released earlier, the trailer packs quite the punch. Skillfully deceiving people from Udaipur, Amritsar, Ahmedabad to Delhi, Pawan cannot be a ‘common man’. He is a versatile conman full of swag! In fact, the actor looks almost unrecognisable in his many avatars in the trailer. Meanwhile, Priya seems convincing as a gritty lawyer and Sushant also plays a pivotal role in the series.

Speaking about his digital debut, Maniesh recently earlier told Bollywood Hungama “I am experiencing a roller-coaster of emotions. I have butterflies in my stomach. I am excited, nervous, curious and grateful. I feel like a newcomer, beginning my career again. Rafuchakkar is nothing like what I’ve done before. The show discovered aspects in me even I didn’t know existed. I am very thrilled to present Maniesh 2.0 to the audience and I am grateful to Jio Studios for giving me the right platform to show my capabilities.”
Maniesh was earlier seen in Raj Mehta’s family comedy-drama film Jugjugg Jeeyo starring Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Prajakta Koli.
