Radhika Apte, who was recently seen in a special cameo in Vijay Sethupathi-Katrina Kaif's Merry Christmas, had a horrible experience this morning. The actress was traveling and had a flight at eight thirty in the morning. In winter, people may face flight delays due to the weather conditions, but her predicament was far worse.

Radhika Apte took to Instagram earlier today, during the ordeal, and shared photos and videos, along with a brief description of what happened. Despite having a flight at 8.30 am, the actress was stuck in a limbo between boarding and not boarding till 10.50am, for all the passengers had been 'locked' in the aerobridge under the ruse of boarding.

And there they were all staying with the actress, whose identity was hidden by a face mask and casual attire. The worst part, as Radhika Apte pointed out, was the absolute lack of water and access to a toilet. That too in a flight, whose passengers comprised of families with small babies and elderly passengers.

B-town celebs react to Radhika Apte's post

B-town celebs dropped sympathetic and shocked comments to her post with Tillotama Shome writing, ‘Ohhhhh no apte!!’ and Aksharaa Haasan ruefully penning, ‘Welcome to Mumbai Airport. Hehehehehe. Not the first time this has happened though.’ Konkona Sen Sharma commented, ‘Unbelievable,’ while Tisca Chopra wrote, ‘Oh dear Lord’. Ira Dubey rightfully noted, ‘Oh no! Crazy ridiculous.'

The most enraging part of the entire ordeal

The ironic and most enraging part about the entire ordeal is the utter lack of management and coordination among the airport and flight staff. The passengers remained standing, leaning, or seated on the ground, including Apte, while security refused to open the doors.

The staff, on the other hand, had no clue as there was a change in crew and they are awaiting their arrival. But no one could say or clarify how long the passengers would be inhumanely imprisoned in the aerospace without access to basic facilities.

Fans react with shock and outrage

Fans were understandably outraged by the mismanagement and mistreatment meted out to Radhika Apte and her co-passengers. Most were guessing the airline to being Indigo, especially since the airline had recently caused multiple delays and mismanagement issues, similar to this incident.

One wrote, ‘Which airline is this? Are they crazy? How can you lock people like that?’ Another highlighted how risky this entire fiasco was for those stuck inside the aerobridge. A third noted, ‘Locking in aerobridge is like locking people in cage without their fault...This system must be abolished.’

A truly frustrated Apte admitted to escaping briefly, somehow, to talk to the ‘very stupid’ staff woman outside, who kept insisting that everything was fine and that there was no issue or delay. The actress was then escorted back into the aerospace and locked inside. While writing the Instagram post, the actress was informed just in time to share the last bit of bad news with us, that the doors will remain locked, till 12pm at least.
