Raayan box office collection: Dhanush’s film reportedly crossed the Rs. 70 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within the first weekend (3 days) of its release.
Raayan, the 50th film of Dhanush, has been receiving immense love from the audiences. The movie, which hit the big screens on July 26, 2024, has already emerged as a super hit. Now, when it completed the first weekend (3 days) of its release, the project written and directed by Dhanush has emerged as the biggest weekend opener in the career of the actor-filmmaker. Reportedly, Raayan has crossed the Rs. 70 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within its first weekend at the theatres.
According to the recent updates from the trade experts, Raayan has made a total worldwide collection of approximately Rs. 75 crore when it completed the first weekend (3 days) at the releasing centers. Thus, the action drama has emerged as Dhanush's career-best first-weekend opener to date. If the reports are to be believed, Raayan has made a total collection of around Rs. 33 crore from Tamil Nadu alone, in the first 3 days of its release. The overseas collection now stands at Rs. 21 crore.

The domestic (all-India) collection of the action drama, which stars Dhanush himself in the titular role, has reportedly crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark. The trade experts suggest that the movie collected over Rs. 2.9 crore from Kerala, Rs. 7.5 crore from the Telugu states, and around Rs. 5.6 crore from Karnataka, so far. Raayan has also reportedly entered the North America’s comScore weekend chart in its opening weekend. A detailed area-wise box office collection breakdown of the Dhanush starrer is expected to be out very soon.
If things proceed at the same rate, Raayan has all possibilities of entering the Rs. 100 crore club of Tamil film industry, within the second weekend of its release. The great reviews and word-of-mouth publicity are heavily favouring the Dhanush starrer, which is clearly playing a big role in reviving the Tamil film industry, which has been going through a low phase during the first half of the year. Raayan is also expected to emerge as the all-time highest grossing film in the career of its leading man-director, Dhanush.
