Raakshasa Kaavyam, the gangster saga brings together a bevvy of young talents including Abhai Naveen, Anvesh Michael, Pawon Ramesh, Dayanand Reddy, Kushalini and Rohini in key roles. Sriman Keerthi has written and directed the film produced by Damu Reddy and Singanamala Kalyan under Garuda Productions, Pingo Pictures and Cine Valley Movies.

Naveen Reddy and Vasundhara Devi are co-producing the film for which Umesh Nigg is the executive producer. The teaser of the film giving viewers a taste of its vibe, intensity, the raw action was unveiled a couple of weeks ago and it has amassed nearly a million views already. Two composers Rajeev Raj and Srikanth M have worked on the songs and the background score.

Villains Anthem, a song from the film, composed by RR Dhruvan was sung by Rahul Sipligunj, Mangli and Ram Miriyala, garnering over 1.3 million views. Kasarla Shyam was the lyricist. Madhura Audio acquired the audio rights of the yet-to-be-released film. Earlier today, the makers announced the film’s release date. The actioner will release in Telugu states and other select locations on October 6, preceding the Navaratri festival season.

Yadamma Raju, Shivratri Raju, Praveen Dhagaram, Kota Sandeep, Vijay Ambayya, Vinay Kumar Parri form the supporting cast of Raakshasa Kaavyam. The team says the story is a re-imagination of mythological stories in a contemporary setup that’s sure to pique the curiosity of audiences. Rushi Konapuram is the cinematographer for the film.

Mittapalli Surender, Sriman Keerthi have written the lyrics. The crew also comprises art director Gandhi Nadikudikar, costume designer Naren Annasagaram and sound designer Nagarjuna Thallapalli. Venkat Kalyan, besides colour grading, is the co-director and the editor. Abhai Naveen, besides Raakshasa Kaavyam, will be seen in another film titled Ramanna Youth (to release on September 15).
