From wrestling to acting, The Rock has firmly established himself as a global superstar,
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has become the most bankable star in Hollywood. The former WWE star, a third generation pro-wrestler and the self-proclaimed ‘most electrifying man in all of sports entertainment’, has transitioned from pro-wrestling to the silver screen with ease. Johnson and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin firmly put WWE at the top of pro-wrestling in the ‘Attitude Era’ which eventually put rival companies like WCW out of business. Johnson made his acting debut in The Mummy Returns (2001) which bagged him the lead role in The Scorpion King, a spin-off to The Mummy sequel. He has since essayed a diverse range of roles in films such as Tooth Fairy (2010), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), Moana (2016), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), San Andreas (2015), and the Fast & Furious series. The actor is currently in the news for his recent release (Jungle Cruise) and the upcoming Red Notice which is being pegged as one of the anticipated Netflix films of the year. He is also set to appear in the DCEU as the anti-hero Black Adam, who has gone toe-to-toe with superheroes such as Superman and Shazam.
