Actor-politician Sunny Deol turned 65 this week

Every Bollywood commercial cinema buff is familiar with the iconic “Dhaai Kilo Ka Haath” or “Tareekh Pe Tareekh”. These dialogues were, of course, delivered by the angry young man of the 1980s and 90s — Sunny Deol. From Damini, Ghayal to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha Deol has ruled the screens for over three decades now. In the latter part of his career, post-2010, Deol actively dabbled in comedy, featuring in Samir Karnik’s Yamla Pagla Deewana with father Dharmendra and younger brother Bobby Deol.

Sunny made his directorial debut in 1999 with Dillagi in which he starred alongside Bobby and Urmila Matondkar.
