Born to famous Tamil filmmaker Kasthuri Raja, Dhanush made his debut with the coming-of-age movie Thulluvadho Ilamai. He would later go on to accomplish more success, and rose to fame with hits such as Polladhavan, Yaaradi Ni Mohini and Aadukalam, the latter of which earned him several accolades. Dhanush’s stardom has only grown over the years with a slew of box office hits such as 3, Maryan, Anegan, Kodi, Vada Chennai, Asuran setting multiple records at the box office, with Asuran earning 100 crores in the first month of its release.

The multiskilled actor is also an accomplished singer with popular songs, and one of his songs became the first Indian song to cross 100 million views on Youtube. He has also produced notable films under his banner Wunderbar, whilst also marking his directorial debut with Pa Paandi in 2017.
