Meera Jasmine, aka Elizabeth, is an angry young woman

In the trailer, Meera Jasmine plays Elizabeth, who is known to be an irritable woman. Thanks to her temper, she has earned the nickname ‘Devil Lady’, and everyone is desperately seeking solutions to change her attitude. In comes Narain's character, whom Elizabeth's coworkers have set up as a potential date. He is a simple man who tries to befriend Elizabeth, but in vain. The trailer then shows a series of humorous encounters between the two.

Going by the trailer, the film promises to be a family entertainer, with Meera Jasmine in her element. Narain and Meera’s on-screen chemistry reminds us of their 2005 hit film, Achuvinte Amma. The onscreen reuniting of the pair has been eagerly awaited by Malayalam cinema fans.

Director Padmakumar on the film’s female-oriented subject

According to Padmakumar, Queen Elizabeth has a female-oriented subject that revolves primarily around Meera. In an interview, the director revealed that casting the right lead actor was a challenge. “When we first read the script, our biggest dilemma was finding someone to play this overtly bold woman who doesn't interact with the outside world much and isn't close to her family,” he said.

The director continued, “The crux of the story is how a sudden setback in the protagonist's life gives her a different perspective. We approached a lot of people, but eventually, it was Meera's name that lingered on.”
