The exclusive first-look clip was released at Netflix's global fan event, TUDUM, on Saturday (September 24).
The Bridgertons are back and we couldn’t be happier!
Just a day after releasing the first-look picture of Queen Charlotte, Netflix has now revealed the first-look clip of the spin-off limited series that will focus on Queen Charlotte.
In the opening shot, we see a young and feisty Queen Charlotte (India Amarteifio) trying to climb over the garden wall and jump over to attain freedom from what we later learn her impending marriage to King George.
But the man himself (Corey Mylchreest) asks if she needed any help first and then refuses to give her the much-needed push to roll over to the other side. Perplexed, she turns around and asks, “You won’t help a lady in distress?” King George uses this opportunity to introduce himself, and says, “I have absolutely no intention of helping you. I refuse when that lady in distress is trying to go over a wall so she does not have to marry me.”
The romance series became Netflix’s biggest original series ever after 82 million households watched the show in its first 28 days after its release on Christmas Day in 2020. Created by Chris Van Dusen, the series is directed by Tom Verica, Sheree Folkson. The supporting cast includes Jonathan Bailey, Julie Andrews, Luke Newton, Luke Thompson, Nicola Coughlan and others.
