Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded Version - Release of Allu Arjun's film with additional 20 mins footage gets delayed; new date REVEALED

A while ago, the makers of Pushpa 2 dropped a revised announcement and shared a new release date.

On January 7, the makers of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule surprised fans with an unexpected announcement. They revealed that the new Reloaded Version of the film would be released with an additional 20 minutes from January 11. But it looks like the fans will have to wait a little longer to catch the extra glimpse in theatres. A while ago, the makers dropped a revised announcement and shared a new release date.

Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded Version to release on...

Pushpa 2 was released in theatres on December 5, 2024. Since then, it has been only making and breaking box office records. Globally, the film grossed Rs 1800 crore, nearing Aamir Khan's Dangal. With this extra 20 minutes getting added to the blockbuster film, it is sure to get a solid elevation at the box office. On January 8, Mythri Movie Makers took to social media to announce the delay in the release. They cited 'technical delays' as the reason.

Their post read, "Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2 The Rule is delayed. It will now screen in theaters from 17th January instead of 11th January as planned earlier. Happy Sankranthi, everyone! The extended version will be worth the wait with additional whistle-worthy moments. The wildfire gets more fiery." Sharing the post on X, they wrote, "#Pushpa2Reloaded in cinemas from January 17th." Allu Arjun's fans were a little disappointed by the news. But they still cheered for their favorite star. One comment read, "The wait has increased but it is worth for every wait to have a reloaded." Another comment read, "Wildfire #Pushpa2TheRule again' on charge." One of the comments also read, "The additional footage in the reloaded version reportedly includes extended scenes from the Japan sequence."

Details about Pushpa 2's OTT release

The Sukumar directorial also starring Fahadh Faasil will be released on Netflix. However, the release date has not been confirmed yet. But the makers recently clarified that Pushpa 2 won't make its OTT debut before 56 days. Going by this, it will likely start streaming after January 29, 2025.
