Pushpa 2: The Rule, the second installment in the Pushpa franchise, is one of the most anticipated films from the South cinema, in 2024. The Sukumar directorial is slated to have a global release on August 15, 2024. However, it was recently rumoured that the action drama is getting postponed again and is expected to be released in December 2024. The makers of Pushpa 2, Mythri Movie Makers finally reacted to the speculations with a recent social media post.
Pushpa 2 release is NOT postponed, confirm makers
The leading production banner of the Telugu film industry, which bankrolls the Pushpa franchise, recently shared a special video on their social media handles and confirmed that Pushpa 2 release is not postponed. Mythri Movie Makers shared a video celebrating the 15 million reels and shorts made on the much-loved second single ‘Sooseki’ along with a special caption. “𝟏.𝟓 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍+ Reels and Shorts for the Pushpa 2 second single. The vibe is just magical... #Pushpa2TheRule Grand release worldwide on 15th AUG 2024,” reads the post.

The new update came out as a big relief for the fans of Allu Arjun and the Telugu cine-goers, who have been eagerly waiting for the return of the popular character, Pushpa Raj. Ahead of the grand theatrical release, the makers of Pushpa 2 are reportedly planning a massive promotional campaign, including a grand audio and trailer launch event and back-to-back media interactions. More updates on the same, are expected to be out very soon.

Pushpa 2 to release in six languages
Interestingly, Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s passion project is being made on a bigger canvas and has got a major upgrade in terms of its release. The first installment of the film, Pushpa: The Rise was released in five languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. However, the second installment, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is set to get an additional release in the Bengali language as well, in theatres.

Allu Arjun is returning to play the celebrated character Pushpa Raj in the film, which features Fahadh Faasil as the lead antagonist, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS. Rashmika Mandanna is reprising the role of Srivalli, the wife of Pushpa, in the film. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is the director of photography. Devi Sri Prasad composed the songs and original score. Naveen Nooli handles the editing. Pushpa 2 is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.
