As we welcome 2025, and step into a new year, it seems a double bonanza for Pushpa 2 makers after the film successfully crossing four weeks of its release and having a successful run at the theatres. As of now, the film has collected Rs 1171 crore at the box office in India, with just four weeks since its release.

Ever since its release on December 5, Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, has been showing a significant stride at the box office, with the film minting big numbers. As the film concludes four weeks, Pushpa 2 is going strong and has collected Rs 1171 crore so far during its 27 days of run in theatres.

Pushpa 2, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles, made a smashing debut at the box office and went on to become one of the highest grossing films of 2024. Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 saw some drop in its occupancy and collections in between, but has steadily maintained to collect big numbers in regional languages and Hindi.

Even as big films like Marco, Max, Mufasa: The Lion King, Viduthalai: Part 2 and Baby John, from various languages, released much after Pushpa 2, the Allu Arjun film has been showing a steadfast competition, dominating the screens.

Pushpa 2 on OTT

Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Pushpa 2. However, with the film enjoying a successful run, it is highly unlikely the film will follow the regular four-week gap to make its streaming debut. Pushpa 2’s production house Mythri Movie Makers had confirmed that the film will not come on OTT before 56 days of release, amounting to approximately two months.

Pushpa 2 is expected to have a third part in the franchise, titled Pushpa: Rampage. Allu Arjun will be reprising his role as smuggler kingpin Pushpa Raj.
