Pushpa 2 box office collection day 18: Allu Arjun’s film is helmed by Sukumar, and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil
Pushpa 2/ Pushpa: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun has crossed the 1000-crore mark domestically, and has earned Rs 1029.9 crore in India during its 18-day run in theatres. The film, which has crossed over Rs 1500 crore globally, has begun to show signs of slowing down, nevertheless becoming one of the highest grossing Indian films this year.
Allu Arjun headlined the 2024 sequel film Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rule has undoubtedly become one of the Indian films this year to have smashed the box office to make big numbers at the box office. So far, with 18 days since the release, the film has managed to collect Rs 1029 crore in India. The film has minted 0.09 crore in India on the 18th day in all languages.
Pushpa 2, helmed by Sukumar, features actor Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, with Fahadh Faasil playing the antagonist. A direct sequel to Sukumar 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, the film is about a red sanders smuggler who goes on to become the kingpin of the trade. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, the film also stars Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh.
Recently, the makers of Pushpa 2 announced that the OTT release of the film will not be before 56 days, hinting that one can expect the Allu Arjun film to make its streaming debut not before end of January. Netflix has grabbed the post-theatrical streaming rights of Pushpa 2.
It is to be noted that Pushpa 2 was caught in controversy after a stampede happened in Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere show, resulting in the death of a woman and her son severely injured. Allu Arjun was arrested and released in a day.
