Pushpa 2 box office collection day 15: The Allu Arjun film has been dominating most of the screens in the country and enjoying a solo run for two weeks so far.
As Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 completes nearly half a month of run at theatres, the film has shown no signs of stopping at the box office. The film has earned Rs 973 crore in India, with Pushpa: The Rule crossing the Rs 1000-crore mark already worldwide.
Undoubtedly, one of the most talked-about films from the South this year as we wrap up 2024 is Pushpa: The Rule. The film, which was released on December 5 in theatres (with premiere shows on December 4), has been smashing box office records and going on to become the fastest Indian film to mint big numbers. While the film has already crossed 1000 crores at the box office worldwide, Pushpa 2 is far from achieving the same target within India.
With its 15 days of run, the film has collected Rs 973.2 crore in India, across all languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The Allu Arjun film is expected to surpass Rs 1000 crore during the weekend.
Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, with Sukumar directing the film. Even as the film was embroiled in controversy, after Allu Arjun was arrested in a case related to a stampede and the subsequent death of a woman, Pushpa 2 continues to run successfully in theatres.
So far, Pushpa 2 has been dominating the theatre screens, given it enjoyed a solo release and was the major player across silver screens. However, with the festive season of Christmas approaching, several films are lined up for release this and next weekend.
Films like Viduthalai- Part 2, UI, and Mufasa: The Lion King are set to release this week, while Hindi film Baby John, Kicchha Sudeepa’s Max, and Malayalam film Barroz are lined up for Christmas. With major titles releasing in regional languages, Pushpa 2 is expected to get fewer screens as it will gear up for OTT release next month.
