Pushpa 2

Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated films in India and is just days away from its release. Featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the action drama is set to hit screens on December 5, 2024. The makers are also gearing up to unveil an exciting new song from the film very soon and the Tamil pre-release event caught the attention of one and all.

Pushpa 2's runtime details revealed

We at OTTplay have two interesting updates for our readers. The first concerns the film's shoot. The latest news is that the entire talkie portion of the film has been wrapped up. Only a song remains to be shot, which will be filmed in Russia starting November 28, 2024.

The second update pertains to the film’s runtime. According to sources close to the production team, the final edit of Pushpa 2 is nearly complete, and the runtime has been locked at 3 hours and 15 minutes. This is unusually lengthy for a commercial entertainer, but with the success of recent big films like Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, Allu Arjun, and director Sukumar are confident that audiences will embrace the extended runtime.

However, sources add that Allu Arjun is scheduled to watch the film soon. If he feels the runtime is excessive, adjustments could be made at the last minute. For now, the 3-hour-15-minute runtime stands. The sequel continues the story from Pushpa, introducing new characters and story arcs, which justify the longer duration, according to insiders.

Allu Arjun leaving no stone unturned for Pushpa 2

Allu Arjun is leaving no stone unturned to keep the film in the spotlight. However, post-production has faced delays, partly because composer Thaman has been brought in to handle the background score for a few key sequences. This decision reportedly upset music director DSP, who publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the makers. These behind-the-scenes controversies have only added to the buzz surrounding the film.

Additionally, a massive pre-release event is planned for the first week of December in Hyderabad, after which all promotional activities will conclude. Stay tuned for more updates on Pushpa 2: The Rule.
