Here are some fun facts about Tarantino’s hit film that will pique your interest

Ezekiel 25:17, as recited by Samuel Jackson, does not exist in the Bible. He says, “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”

Ever notice the book that substance abusing hitman, Vincent Vega (Travolta) reads in the washroom? It’s called Modesty Blaise and is a spy novel by Peter O’Donnell. Tarantino is a big fan of the novel.

Uma Thurman was not the first choice to play Mia Wallace. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Pfeiffer and French actress Catherine Denevue were in the running for the role of the young actress in the film.

Tarantino had written the role of Butch Coolidge, an ageing boxer for Matt Dillon, but the actor was not thrilled with the script. Then the filmmaker approached Willis, a much bigger name than Dillon, and the rest is history.
