AK Sajan's Pulimada, which has Joju George and Aishwarya Rajessh in the lead, had wrapped up its shoot almost a year ago

After almost a year since the shoot or Joju George's Pulimada had wrapped up its shoot, the makers have finally released an update about the movie, with a title poster on social media.
The poster, interestingly, also features the tagline 'Scent of a Woman'. Tamil actress Aishwarya Rajessh will essay the female lead in the film that has been written and directed by AK Sajan, who has previously helmed Puthiya Niyamam, Neeyum Njaanum and Asuravithu.
In an interview with OTTplay ahead of the film's shoot in January 2022, the director revealed that Pulimada is a dark comedy that follows the story of a Wayanad-based migrant farmer essayed by Joju and his relationship with an urban girl played by Aishwarya Rajesh raised in Abu Dhabi. The director also said that the plot revolves around these characters who come from diverse backgrounds.
Aishwarya, who has worked previously in Malayalam films like Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Sakhavu, also has Tovino Thomas-starrer Ajayante Randam Moshanam lined up for release. The makers of Pulimada are yet to announce the film's release date.
The movie also has Chemban Vinod Jose in a significant role along with Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Krishna Prabha, and Sona Nair. Lijomol Jose, who has portrayed notable characters in Jai Bhim and Ayalvaashi, also has a vital role in Pulimada.
The film is also noted for the comeback of cinematographer and director Venu. Venu, who has cranked the camera. Jakes Bejoy and Vivek Harshan are the film's composer and editor, respectively.

Meanwhile, Joju's was last seen in Iratta, where he starred in a double role. The psychological thriller, helmed by Rohit MG Krishnan received critical acclaim, and is currently streaming on Netflix.
Joju also Joshiy's Antony lined up for release. It marks the reunion of Porinju Mariyam Jose's cast which includes Chemban and Nyla Usha. Kalyani Priyadarshan will play a pivotal role in Antony, which has been scripted by Abhilash N Chandran. There are also rumours about Joju joining hands with Bigg Boss Malayalam winner Akhil Marar for a project titled Omana.
