Psycho to go on floors in 2024: Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Mohit Suri all set to create this action thriller

Under the direction of Mohit Suri, Psycho is slated to go on the floors next year. Rohit Shetty will be producing the movie.

2024 surely is going to be a special year for Akshay Kumar’s fans and well-wishers! Not only will he be playing a pivotal role in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Singham Again but will also be working on expanding the ‘Welcome’ and ‘Hera Pheri’ franchises. While he continues to work on multiple projects, another exciting development has come today. Reportedly, Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘Psycho’ will go on the floors next year.

According to sources close to Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘Psycho’ – which will be directed by Mohit Suri – will go on the floors next year. Not only this, but the movie will be produced by Rohit Shetty and is expected to be an action-thriller.

“The film will go on floors in the first half of 2024 with a start-to-finish 40-day schedule. The prep work will begin shortly. It's a script that Rohit loves and wants to be the first from his banner that's not helmed by him," the source said.

Detailing the film further, sources told the news outlet that Akshay’s character in the movie will be a psychotic one. Thus, the title of the film justifies his character.

Akshay Kumar’s professional front

Akshay Kumar recently shot his cameo in Rohit Shetty’s directorial Singham Again. Singham Again features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Ajay Devgn in crucial roles. The film is expected to be released on August 15, 2024, coinciding with the occasion of Indian Independence Day.

Akshay is currently in the UK shooting for Khel Khel Mein with filmmaker Mudassar Aziz. If the news around Psycho is true, then it is certain that Akshay Kumar has more than 7 projects to work on in 2024.
