Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan created a sensation of sorts last year. Well, the second part is ready for a release on the 28th of April and the makers have been aggressively promoting the film all over. Today, the entire team was in Hyderabad for its pre-release event and massive crowds gathered to watch the stars speak about the film.

One of highlights of the event was Jayam Ravi's speech. As he started speaking in Telugu, the audience were cheering him big time. At the same time, the gorgeous beauty, Aishwarya Rai was speechless to see Ravi speak Telugu so fluently. Jayam Ravi did not hold back his excitement and said "Mam, I am 50% Tamil and 50% Telugu, but you do not know that I am 100% your fan". This statement from Jayam Ravi made Aishwarya Rai blush.

Jayam Ravi also went on to add that he grew up in Hyderabad and has a close association with Telugu cinema. His father, Editor Mohan was worked predominantly in Telugu cinema and settled in Chennai. The likes of Vikram, Trisha, and Karthi spoke high about the film which will have a grand release in Telugu.

PS2 is releasing along with Akhil's Agent and there is a lot of pressure on the film to deliver. But as the promotions are huge, the makers are confident that the film will open well. Mani Ratnam has directed PS 2, and AR Rahman scores the music. We need to see what kind of records the second part creates.
