Prosenjit Chatterjee to direct Noti Binodini with Kangana Ranaut?

It was heard last year in October that Kangana will play Binodini. Pradip Sarkar was supposed to direct the film.

During his birthday, Prosenjit Chatterjee revealed his intention to direct a film. In an interview with OTTplay, he said, “Not a resolution, but my dream to sit on the director’s chair should come true now.” On Wednesday, it was reported that Prosenjit Chatterjee is set to direct Noti Binodini in Hindi. According to the report on Anandabazar Patrika, Kangana Ranaut will play Binodini in the film.

It was heard last year in October that Kangana will play Binodini. Pradip Sarkar was supposed to direct the film. Kangana also confirmed the news. But Pradip suddenly passed away in March 2023. It is heard that the project came to Prosenjit.

Prosenjit did not officially confirm this. There is some confusion regarding whether this is the same film to be directed by Pradip Sarkar or this is a different film. Some sources say that this is the same movie whose screenplay and planning were done by Pradip Sarkar. It is also being heard that restaurateur Anjan Chattopadhyay will produce the film. The film's shooting will be held in Kolkata.

Previously, Prosenjit directed one film named Purushottam at the beginning of the nineties. He and Debashree Roy played the protagonists there. But he does not want to act in his film this time.

In fact, another Binodini is being made in Bengali. Directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, Rukmini Maitra plays Binodini Dasi in the film, Binodini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan. The shooting is over and the film is expected to hit the theatre soon.
