Zee Bangla is set to launch a new mega serial, Mittir Bari, produced by Prosenjit Chatterjee's NIDEAS Creations And Productions.
Zee Bangla will soon introduce a brand new mega serial Mittir Bari. Billed as an ode to the generational connections of a joint family, the serial is produced by Prosenjit Chatterjee’s NIDEAS Creations And Productions. The show will start on November 25. This tale explores the importance of preserving family bonds, generational connections, and the enduring legacy of one's roots.
Talking about producing the serial, Prosenjit said, "Mittir Bari is a story that delves into the heart of family, heritage, and the resilience of the human spirit. As a producer, I am passionate about bringing narratives rooted in culture and emotional depth to the screen. This show explores timeless themes of love, sacrifice, and truth, while also highlighting the generational connections that shape who we are. It has been a wonderful experience working with such a talented team to bring this beautiful story to life, and I hope it resonates with viewers as much as it has with us."
Mittir Bari is centered on Jonaki, played by Parijat Chaudhuri a lively and compassionate young woman, whose journey to uncover the truth behind her mother’s wrongful imprisonment leads her to Mittir Bari, a once-grand ancestral home on the verge of collapse. There, she encounters Dhrubo, portrayed by Adrit Roy, a conscientious lawyer, and ardent truth-seeker, whose values clash with Jonaki’s tendency for “white lies”. Despite their differences, they join forces to save the crumbling house of Dhrubo from being sold by its current owners, who are eager to sever ties with their heritage for financial gain. “Mittir Bari” also features acclaimed actors like Dulal Lahiri, Anuradha Roy, Shankar Chakraborty, Manasi Sinha, Sonali Chowdhury, and Ananya Banerjee.
The set design for the show has been crafted by National Award-winning art director Ananda Adhya.
The storyline of “Mittir Bari” has been conceptualized by Shaswati Ghosh, the creative mind behind popular shows like Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni and Mithai.
The show's theme song has been penned by renowned lyricist Priyo Chattopadhyay, composed by acclaimed music director Joy Sarkar, and brought to life by celebrated singer Anwesha.
Mittir Bari, produced by NIDEAS Creations And Productions of Prosenjit Chatterjee, and directed by Sujit Pyne, will be aired from November 25, Monday to Saturday at 9 PM, on Zee Bangla. The show will also stream on Zee5 and will be available on OTTplay Premium.
