Priyanka, Paayel and Bonny in Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s psychological thriller Ahalya

The actor’s mother and EIMPA’s president Piya Sengupta will be producing the film

Priyanka Sarkar, Paayel Sarkar and Bonny Sengupta will be seen together in Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s new psychological thriller, Ahalya. The film will be produced by Bonny’s mother, actress and the president of the Eastern India Motion Pictures Association, Piya Sengupta. While Bonny has signed several films with Koushani, including Antarjal, Bijoya Dashami, Dal Bati Churma and others, Priyanka will be seen in Indranil Roychowdhury’s web series Chotolok in Zee5 and Paayel has just completed the shooting of the fourth season of Hoichoi’s Hello with Ishaa Saha.

In an interview with Anandabazar Patrika, Bonny said that he wanted a solid character from her mother’s film and he is happy with the one that he got. In the film, Bonny’s character lives alone in an apartment and gradually gets to experience unnatural activities. According to the report, Bonny’s character gets affected by the events initially. After investigating the matter, he finds interesting information behind the unnatural activities.

Priyanka is looking forward to the character. She could not reveal much about the character. However, she told Anandabazar that she agreed because of the shades in her character. She further added that it would be her first work with both Bonny and Abhimanyu. “I first met Abhimanyuda while working in Chirodini Tumi Je Amar as he was assisting Raj Chakrabarty. And Bonny is a childhood friend,” said the actress.

Meanwhile, Paayel will work as an important character. Anindya Chattopadhyay will compose the music for the film. Ahalya will go on the floors by the first week of September.

Meanwhile, Priyanka will be working as a prime character in Indranil Roychowdhury’s web series Chotolok with Gourab Chakrabarty, Indrani Halder, Daminee Benny Basu, Ushasi Roy, Ushasie Chakraborty and others. Billed as a thriller, the plot of the series revolves around the death of a young woman. The police procedural will see Daminee as an ordinary, unassuming cop, who figures out a deceptive, cynical and politically motivated myriad of events behind the murder.
