In April of last year, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas confidently stated that the Indian adaptation of her ambitious Prime Video project 'Citadel' is in capable hands with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leads.
Under the direction of filmmaker duo Raj and DK, the Indian rendition of Citadel serves as a spin-off of the original American series with the same title, which featured Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Reports suggest that multiple regional versions of the series will be developed, all stemming from a central event that drives the narratives forward.
