Citadel Honey Bunny: Priyanka Chopra introduces 'toughest person' and on-screen dad Varun Dhawan aka Rahi Gambhir; fans say 'Father is fathering'

Citadel: Honey Bunny starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the Indian spin-off of the American series Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra. The trailer of the Indian spin-off already built anticipation for the series and now, much to the fans' delight, Varun shared a video where Priyanka introduced him as her on-screen father in the series. His character name is Rahi Gambhir. The video received love and fans expressed excitement as they cannot wait for the series release.

On October 21, Varun dropped a video merging clips from Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel. The small clip shows Priyanka as Nadia introduces her daughter to her grandfather. She says, "Your grandfather is the toughest person I’ve ever met." When someone says that Varun Dhawan's character, Rahi Gambhir is a "criminal", his on-screen daughter Priyanka states, "He is my father."

Rahi's introductory clip goes further with Varun performing intense action sequences in a fiery look. His demeanor as an agent promises to keep the audience spellbound. Sharing the clip, Varun captioned it, "Rahi Gambhir"

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote, "Father is fathering." Another stated, "Outstanding performance Varun brother" A third fan commented, "Nadia Sinh - W daughter (fire emoji) Rahi Gambhir- W father" One of the comments also reads, "@varundvn Can't wait to watch the most hottest agent"

Varun Dhawan shares Priyanka Chopra's reaction to Citadel: Honey Bunny

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Varun shared Priyanka's reaction to the upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny. The actor said she ‘loved’ the show and had some ‘lovely’ things to say about it.

In Varun Dhawan's show, Nadia's character is played by 8-year-old Kasvi who spoke about playing the younger version of Priyanka Chopra as Nadia at a press conference.

She said, "When I was told that I will be playing the younger version of Priyanka Chopra as Nadia, I was thrilled and happy." She further mentioned that Priyanka Chopra is an all-rounder - she acts, she dances, she sings, and I can say that I act, I dance and I sing so it's a perfect match."

Citadel: Honey Bunny is directed by Raj and DK and is a spin-off of the American spy action series Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden. The show follows Varun and Samantha as they embark on a globetrotting mission.

Backed by the Avengers Endgame directors, the Russo Brothers (Joe & Anthony), Citadel: Honey Bunny is scheduled for November 7 release on Amazon Prime Video.
