The movie, which is directed by Suraj Varma, is produced under the banner of Rajisha Productions
The puja function of Rajisha Vijayan and Priya Prakash Varrier’s upcoming movie Kolla was held in Kochi on Thursday with celebrities such as Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith, Bobby and Manu Ashokan attending the function along with its cast and crew.
The film’s title Kolla was also revealed at the function. Kolla marks Priya Prakash Varrier’s comeback Malayalam film after Oru Adaar Love and Thanaha, which were shot in 2018. The upcoming film, which is helmed by Suraj Varma, is scripted by Jasim Jalal and Nelson Joseph. The script is based on a story by Salute and Mumbai Police writers Bobby and Sanjay.
Apart from Priya and Rajisha, the movie also has Vinay Forrt, Alencier Ley, Jeo Baby, Prem Prakash, Shebin Benson and Prashanth Alexander. Priya, who was last seen in the Telugu remake of Ishq, is also awaiting the release of Vishnu Priya in Kannada and Sridevi Bungalow and Love Hackers in Hindi.
Last year, she had completed shooting Love Hackers, which is directed by Mayank Prakash Srivastava. The movie revolves around a girl who gets trapped by dark web racketeers and decides to take them on instead of cowing down. The film was shot in North India as well as Russia.
The actress was also set to team up with Anoop Menon in VK Prakash’s directorial Oru Nalpathukarante Irupathonnukaari. The movie, however, has been kept in the backburner with both Anoop and VK Prakash getting busy with other projects.
Meanwhile, Rajisha will next be seen playing a cybersecurity expert in her upcoming theatrical release Keedam, which is directed by Rahul Riji Nair and also stars Vijay Babu and Sreenivasan. The actress, who was last seen in the Sony LIV anthology Freedom Fight, has also wrapped up shooting for Ajai Vasudev’s Pakalum Pathiraavum and Lovefully Yours Veda, which has Gautham Vasudev Menon and Sreenath Bhasi as part of its cast.
