Priya Mani plays a pivotal role in the Atlee directorial.
Priya Mani appeared in the Chennai Express dance number One, Two, Three, Four alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2013. Now, ten years later, she has a starring role opposite him in the film Jawan. Naturally, getting to work with the superstar twice is a dream come true.
During an interaction with Mid Day, when asked what changes she has seen in SRK in the past 10 years, Priya Mani exclaimed that he is a lot fitter now, before clarifying that this is not to say that he was already in good physical shape before. For the first five or six nights of Chennai Express both of them wore identical outfits, but here she got to see him in something other than the same thing. She added that SRK's demeanour, though, has stayed the same, and he is so friendly.
Priya Mani could finally break through to the mainstream of Bollywood this year. The National Award-winning actor also had a high-budget Hindi film, Maidaan which Amit R. Sharma directed. She agreed to be in the sports drama since she wanted to work with Ajay Devgn and the director.
When the actor got the offer for Maidaan she couldn't believe my good fortune. The sincerity with which Amit told Badhaai Ho's story moved me. Ajay and she share some sweet moments in Maidaan. It was great fun working with him. The look in his eyes says it all.
Priya Mani claims that they discussed director SS Rajamouli during their talks, as Devgn had recently signed on to star in RRR (2022). She has collaborated with Rajamouli on Yamadonga before. So he inquired as to her working relationship with Rajamouli and the operation of the South Directors.
The star of The Family Man is currently dedicated to Sarvam Shakthi Mayam while she patiently awaits her big screen appearances. The spiritual themes of the family drama on ZEE5 also feature Sanjay Suri and Samir Soni. Priya Mani says she was interested in the project since it successfully blended documentary and fantasy.
She said it's a wonderful story about a family's spiritual development hidden within what could be mistaken for a factual series. At first glance, her protagonist is someone whose husband or father controls her life. But after going through this ordeal, she learns to value herself.
