The movie, which is the Malayalam remake of Andhadhun, is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video in India on October 7
The teaser of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bhramam, which was released a few days ago, had already hit the right notes, and fans of the actor and those who have watched Andhadhun can’t wait for what more is in store. The trailer of the movie, which will release on October 7, should reveal those, going by Prithviraj’s recent social media post.
The actor announced through his social media page that the “secrets are unravelling”, while revealing the trailer release date – September 28. He also shared a new poster featuring him and Unni Mukundan as the cop.
Bhramam, which is directed by acclaimed cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, also has Raashi Khanna, Mamta Mohandas, Ananya, Shankar and Shine Tom Chacko in pivotal roles. The movie, which began shooting in January 2021, wrapped up its filming within two months.
On remaking a Hindi movie in Malayalam, Prithviraj had earlier told OTTplay, “I think it’s important that content not only travels from South to North. I think it’s crucial that down the line when a filmmaker makes a movie and that content can travel, it shouldn’t just be that South films are being remade. It would be nice to have the other way round too. I think Andhadhun as a film has content that lends itself very well to Malayalam. I hope I will be proven right when you see the movie.”
The movie is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video only in India on October 7 and will premiere in theatres across the world on the same day.
