Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is now busy promoting his next outing Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, confirmed that he narrated a subject to Mammootty and the megastar liked it.
Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the busiest actors in the contemporary Malayalam film industry. The multi-faceted talent has some highly promising projects in his kitty, including his upcoming directorial venture L2: Empuraan which stars Mohanlal in the lead role. In a recent interview, Prithviraj stated that he wants to direct Mammootty in a film and revealed that he narrated a subject to the megastar which both of them loved. However, the project might not happen anytime soon.
In a recent interview with a leading online media, Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that he came across a subject that he loved immediately. The actor-filmmaker, who felt Mammootty was the perfect choice for that subject narrated the idea to him. Even though the veteran actor equally loved the subject, the project is not likely to go on floors anytime soon. And it is because of the extremely busy schedules of both Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mammootty.

According to the actor-director, the legendary actor is extremely busy in his career and has a massive line-up of the projects that he has already committed to. So, Mammootty might not be able to accommodate dates for his film, anytime soon. However, Prithviraj Sukumaran is still hopeful that the project will happen once both of them wrap up their current commitments. The Malayalam cinema lovers, who are eagerly waiting for the actor-director duo’s first project together, are thrilled with the L2: Empuraan director’s new revelation.

For the uninitiated, Mammootty's mass action thriller Turbo which is helmed by Vysakh, is all set to release on May 23, 2024. The megastar will be next seen in Bazooka, the action thriller helmed by newcomer Deeno Dennis. Later, the veteran actor will join hands with editor-filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan, for an untitled project which is touted to be a political thriller. He is also rumoured to be reuniting with Bheeshma Parvam director Amal Neerad for an action thriller, very soon. The duo is also expected to revive their long-delayed project Bilal in 2025.
