Prithviraj resumes shooting for Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan
Prithviraj has been busy with multiple projects, keeping him away from L2: Empuraan. Based on Murali Gopy's screenplay, the follow-up film is expected to be high on action.

Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran has resumed shooting for his next directorial venture, L2: Empuraan, which is the sequel to his 2019 blockbuster, Lucifer. The star posted a picture of himself on the movie set with the caption, "On to home turf next!"
Prithviraj has been busy with multiple projects, keeping him away from L2: Empuraan. Based on Murali Gopy's screenplay, the follow-up film is expected to be high on action and shed more light on the actual identity of Mohanlal's character, Khureshi-Ab'raam, a dreaded international gangster.
The sequel has also retained the majority of the supporting cast from its predecessor, including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, and Indrajith Sukumaran, among others.

Prithviraj's winning streak
Prithviraj had two back-to-back releases: Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He was busy travelling across the country and promoting the movies through a series of interviews.
After wrapping up his pre and post-release commitments for these movies, Prithviraj has moved on to focus on his directorial venture.
Aadujeevitham was Prithviraj's passion project. He remained attached to the project since it was first announced by director Blessy in 2008. Due to budgetary constraints, Blessy was not able to start the project until 2017. Even after that, the project faced many hurdles, including the Covid outbreak and subsequent lockdowns.

Aadujeevitham was made at a cost of more than Rs 80 crore. The film was released in cinemas last month to glowing reviews, and Prithviraj's performance garnered unanimous praise. Inspired by real-life events, the film has already emerged as one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Malayalam cinema.
Aadujeevitham is expected to breach the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office, outearning Mohanlal's Lucifer.
On the other hand, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is considered to be one of the biggest flops in Bollywood history. The film, which reportedly cost nearly Rs 300 crore to its producers, opened to poor reviews and abysmal collections. In the Hindi film, Prithviraj plays the main antagonist, with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff playing the lead roles.
