Prithviraj is scheduled to be released on June 3.

During a promotional appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, Prithviraj actor Akshay Kumar was asked by host Kapil Sharma about the widening age gap between him and his on-screen romantic interests.
In the episode, according to The Indian Express Kapil noted that he watched the actor romance Madhuri Dixit and Ayesha Jhulka in movies that were released while he was in school. And when he was in college, he has watched movies where Akshay was paired opposite Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif. He then went on to note that Akshay was recently seen opposite Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani, and will be seen with Manushi Chhillar in Prithviraj.
"Hum to bas inki heroines ke interview karne ke liye paida huye hain (I was born to just interview his heroines)," the comedian-talk show host joked. The Indian Express notes that Kapil had previously jested about the age gap between Akshay and his heroines when the actor had come to the show to promote Atrangi Re.
There is no doubt that the widening age gap between Bollywood heroes and their romantic interests is increasing day by day, pointing to the rampant sexism in the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Akshay's historical drama Prithviraj releases on June 3 and chronicles the legacy of the historical ruler who was responsible for unifying Rajput clans and defeating invaders like Muhammad Ghori during his reign.
Manushi will play his royal consort Sanyogita. The film, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, also stars Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
