Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey's docuseries The Me You Can't See’s trailer unveiled

Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey co-created docuseries focused around mental health issues is set to release on May 21.

On Monday evening, Apple TV+ released a two-minute trailer of the emotional documentary, The Me You Can't See revolving around the issues of mental health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic that is looming over the world.

Co-produced by Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry, The Me You Can’t See is a new docuseries that explores mental health and the stigmas latched on to it. The series aims to give a voice to the suffering, with storytelling at its core. It’s about human beings, their experiences, and why we feel the way that we do while reminding everyone that we're not alone.

The optimistic docuseries aims to tell the truth about people's mental health with empathy, compassion and encouragement, using real-life testimonials of people all around the world, including famous celebrities like singer Lady Gaga, Hollywood star Glenn Close, NBA’s San Antonio Spurs’ DeMar DeRozan, and Syrian refugee Fawzi among others.

The two-minute short trailer also showcases archival footage from Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana's 1997 funeral where a 12-year-old Harry is seen standing, bowing his head down as his mother's coffin passes by. The other footages from the trailer give an idea that Prince Harry will openly talk about the traumas that he experienced in his childhood after his mother's death. The docuseries will also see a cameo from Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle.

The Apple TV+ is series slated for a release on Friday, May 21. It is co-directed by the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning duo of Asif Kapadia and Dawn Porter, and created by Jon Kamen, Dave Sirulnick and Alex Browne.
