Premalu, the romantic comedy that stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, has now emerged as a blockbuster. The movie has crossed the Rs. 25 crore mark with its 8-day box office collection.
Premalu, the romantic comedy that stars young actors Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, hit the big screens on February 9, 2024. The movie is helmed by Girish AD, who made a mark in the industry with the much-loved movies Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and Super Sharanya. The movie, which was released without massive pre-release hype, has now emerged as the surprise blockbuster of this season.
As per the recent updates, Premalu has now crossed the prestigious Rs. 25 mark at the box office. The movie achieved remarkable feats just within the first 8 days of its release. In that case, it is easily possible for the Naslen and Mamitha Baiju starrer, to even enter the Rs. 50 crore club, within its lifetime run at the box office.
As per the recent updates from the trade experts, Premalu has now made a total collection of over Rs. 25 crore, within the first 8 days of its release. Interestingly, the movie has made around Rs. 16 crore from the Kerala box office alone, so far. The romantic comedy has collected approximately Rs. 1.5 crore from the rest of India's release centers.
As reported earlier, Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film has been performing exceedingly well at the overseas release centers, and has made a total collection of over Rs. 7 crore so far. The trade experts also suggest that Premalu has made a total gross collection of Rs. 15.9 crore from its 8 days run at the worldwide box office, with the share of over Rs. 7.05 crore.
For the uninitiated, the movie revolves around the love story of a happy-go-lucky guy named Sachin, and Reenu a girl who works as an IT professional in Hyderabad. Naslen played the role of Sachin in the film, which features Mamitha Baiju as Reenu. Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others appeared in the supporting roles. Premalu is jointly bankrolled by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran, under the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Bhavana Studios.
