Premalu Box Office Day 17 collection – The romantic comedy crosses Rs. 65 crore mark worldwide

Premalu, the romantic comedy which stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has now emerged as the highest grossing Malayalam film of 2024, so far.

Premalu, the romantic comedy, which is helmed by Girish AD, has been receiving excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics. The movie, which features Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has been performing extremely well at the box office, even after completing the first three weeks of its release. The movie has now also emerged as a true winner, after clashing with big projects including Bramayugam and Anweshippin Kandethum.

It is remarkable how Premalu, which is not headlined by a prominent superstar, succeeded in emerging as the highest grossing Malayalam film of 2024, so far. As per the recent updates from trade experts, Naslen and Mamitha’s film has now crossed the Rs. 65 crore mark worldwide.

According to recent updates from trade experts, it has been confirmed that Premalu has been holding strong at the box office, even after completing its third weekend at the theatres. The Girish AD directorial has now minted over Rs. 65 crore from the worldwide box office. Thus, the movie has now established itself as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024, so far. If things proceed at the same rate, the romantic comedy will soon emerge as one of the all-time highest-grossing films in the industry.

The recent reports suggest that Premalu has made Rs. 35.31 crore from the Kerala box office, within the first 17 days of its release. The movie made Rs. 2.50 crore from Kerala, on its Day 17 (which was also its third Sunday at the theatres) alone. If things proceed at the same rate, the Kerala box office collection of Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju’s film will cross Rs. 40 crore mark in another week. The worldwide collection, on the other hand, is expected to cross the Rs. 80 crore mark.

Naslen played the role of Sachin a happy-go-lucky youngster in Premalu, which features Mamitha Baiju in the role of Reenu Roy. Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others played the supporting roles. Vishnu Vijay composed the songs and original score for the film. Ajmal Sabu is the DOP. The Girish AD directorial is produced by Fahadh Faasil and Dileesh Pothan, under the banners Bhavana Studios, and Fahadh Faasil and Friends.
