Premalu, the Girish AD directorial, which stars Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has performed well at the box office on Day 11, which was also its second Monday at the theatres.
Premalu, the romantic comedy helmed by Girish AD, has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2024. The movie, which stars young actors Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has only been released in Malayalam so far. But, despite not having a major star in its star cast, Premalu has been performing extraordinarily at the box office and has already earned blockbuster status.
When the romantic comedy completed its second Monday (Day 11) at the theatres, it is now set to touch the Rs. 45 crore mark at the box office. Despite stepping into its second week at the theatres, Premalu has been witnessing a massive audience rush, even on weekdays in both Kerala and overseas centres.
According to recent updates from trade experts, Premalu has made a total collection of Rs. 44.1 crore from the worldwide box office within the first 11 days of its release. In that case, the romantic comedy will cross the Rs. 45 crore mark on its 12th day in theatres. Interestingly, Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film has reportedly made around Rs. 3.1 crore worldwide on its 11th day in theatres. Well, it is now safe to assume that the Girish AD directorial will enter the glorious Rs. 50 crore club of Malayalam cinema by the end of this week.

If things proceed at the same rate, Premalu will cross the Rs. 65 crore mark at the worldwide box office within its lifetime run. It has been confirmed that the excellent box office run of the recently released Mammootty starrer Bramaugam has not impacted the romantic comedy in any way. The movie has also impressed non-Malayali audiences, which has helped its excellent performance in the Overseas and Rest of India’s box office.
