Premalu box office collection: Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s romantic comedy, which is helmed by Girish AD, is now set to join the Rs. 100 crore club of the Malayalam film industry.
Premalu, the romantic comedy, which is helmed by talented filmmaker Girish AD has now emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Malayalam cinema. The movie, which features young actors Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has been winning immense love from audiences across the globe. Now, after completing 26 days at the release centres, the Premalu box office collection is now set to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark worldwide.
The recent updates from trade experts suggest that Premalu is now inching towards the Rs. 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office. As per the reports, Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film has already made a total collection of around Rs. 90 crore with its worldwide collections so far. The Girish AD directorial crossed the Rs. 45 crore mark at the Kerala box office alone when it completed the first 45 days of its release. So it is safe to assume that the romantic comedy will touch the Rs. 50 crore mark in Kerala within a couple of days.
Trade experts suggest that Premalu is confirmed to enter the Rs. 100 crore club of Malayalam cinema as it completes the fourth week of its release. In that case, the movie, which is produced by Fahadh Faasil and Dileesh Pothan, might make a total worldwide collection of around Rs. 110 crore by the time it completes its lifetime run at the theatres. The release of the much-awaited Telugu version of the film is expected to contribute towards its successful run in theatres. In that case, Premalu might even get an extended run at the theatres.

As per the reports, the OTT streaming rights of Premalu have been bagged by the famous platform Disney+ Hotstar for a whopping price. The makers, however, have not finalised the OTT release date of Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film yet. If the Girish AD directorial continues its successful run at the theatres even after the fourth week of its release, there are high chances for the movie’s OTT release to get delayed by a couple of weeks.
