Abhishek Pictures, the banner behind films like Keshava, Ravanasura and the upcoming spy thriller Devil, came up with a feel-good drama for their first-ever OTT production Prema Vimanam this year. Anirudh Nama, Devansh Nama, the children of the banner’s founder Abhishek Nama, made their acting debut with the film also starring Sangeeth Sobhan, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Saanve Megghana.

Prema Vimanam, directed by Santosh Kata, arrived on ZEE5 this October after vigorous promotional activity and lived up to expectations. The web film went onto be one of the most watched titles on the streamer in Telugu this year. The OTT original also received favourable reviews from critics. The film is also available for streaming on Tamil on the platform.

There’s another cherry on the cake for team Prema Vimanam before they kickstart 2024. The film has found a place at the prestigious Rajasthan International Film Festival that’ll be held between January 27 and 31 at Jaipur next year. The festival’s jury shortlisted five national films, seven regional films and three international films for the same.

Other Telugu films that have made it to the Rajasthan International Film Festival include Ajay Bhupathi’s rustic thriller Mangalavaram and the Siva Kantamaneni, Katalyn Gowda starrer Madhurapudi Gramam Ane Nenu. For the unversed, Prema Vimanam focuses on the plight of two children, who’re desperate to board a flight, and how they cross paths with a young couple in Hyderabad.

Vennela Kishore, Ravi Varma, Goparaju Ramana, Kalpalatha, Surabhi Prabhavathi and Abhai Naveen essayed other crucial roles in the web film which had music by Anup Rubens. Jagadeesh Cheekati cranked the camera for the project while it was edited by Amar Reddy Kudumula. Amrutha Laxmi and Mohit Rawlyani were the production designer and the executive producer.
