Prema Vimanam on OTT: Third week into its release, Sangeeth Shobhan, Anasuya’s film breaks a new record
Saanve Megghana, Anirudh Nama, Devansh Nama play other key roles in ZEE5’s Prema Vimanam

Prema Vimanam, commissioned as a web film for ZEE5, opened to glowing reviews from critics and registered impressive upon release on October 12. Sangeeth Shobhan, Saanve Megghana, Anirudh Nama, Devansh Nama, Anasuya Bharadwaj played pivotal roles in the film directed by Santosh Kata. Devil, Ravanasura fame producer Abhishek Nama bankrolled the feel-good saga.
The film, that released in Telugu and Tamil on ZEE5, has been consistently breaking new records on the streamer. While the OTT released amassed 20 million streaming minutes in its first week, the number increased to 50 million by the second week. Now, ZEE5 has confirmed that the title is still going strong with viewers in the third week, garnering a record 85 million streaming minutes.

“We worked hard, gave it our best shot and it has materialised finally. We have crossed 85 million streaming minutes now,” ZEE5 tweeted, sharing the news. The film, set in the 90s, tells the story of two kids, who dream of boarding an aeroplane despite their poor economic condition, and how their destines are intertwined with a rural couple (who defy all adds and elope from the village).
The rural saga has a relatable premise and boasts fine performances from the lead cast - with Sangeeth Shobhan, Saanve Megghana excelling, in particular. Anup Rubens’ melodies perfectly complement the narrative. The film’s technical team also comprises cinematographer Jagadeesh Cheekati, editor Amar Reddy Kudumula and production designer Amrutha Laxmi.
Vennela Kishore, Goparaju Ramana, Kalpalatha, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Abhai Naveen form the supporting cast of the film.Mohit Rawlyani is the executive producer. The other Telugu releases of ZEE5 in 2023 are ATM, Vyavastha, Mayabazaar for Sale, Puli Meka, Vimanam, Vedha, Writer Padmabhushan, Vishwak and DD Returns Bhoothala Bangla.
