Saanve Megghana, Anasuya Bharadwaj also essay key roles in ZEE5’s Prema Vimanam
One of the many surprise hits in the Telugu OTT space this year, Prema Vimanam continues to captivate audiences on ZEE5 with its heart-touching premise. The film has broken several viewership records on the streamer already. Santosh Kata made his directorial debut with the film that features Sangeeth Shobhan, Saanve Megghana, Anasuya Bharadwaj, child actors Anirudh Nama, Devansh Nama in key roles.
Prema Vimanam tells the story of two kids and their desire to board an aeroplane despite their challenging circumstances. They cross paths with another rural couple - Mani and Abitha, who plan to elope, given the socio-economic barriers that threaten the future of their relationship. Is there a happy ending in store? The screenplay is packed with heart-pounding drama, humour and touching moments.
In a recent chat, Sangeeth Shobhan, while elaborating on his experience of working with child actors Anirudh Nama, Devansh Nama had interesting insights to share. “I've only done 2-3 scenes with the kids and my fond memory is that they are absolute brats. They are monsters, but they're also very cute. But again, at that age, everyone is like that, so they're supposed to be like that,” he said.
“Child actors should boss around other people. So, it is very cute. But to get the performance out of them, I have to give kudos to the director (Santosh Kata) for that. It was fun to work with them because they have this innocence because they don't understand what is happening, what is shooting, and what is acting. I think they come with no baggage. It's really nice to see that,” the actor added.
Interestingly, Sangeeth Shobhan too had begun his career as a child artiste with Golconda High School, directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, where he shared screenspace with his brother Santosh Soban. The sibling-duo reunited for another web show The Baker and the Beauty as well. Sangeeth also made his theatrical debut with the campus comedy MAD earlier this year.
